This is an assemble robot car for a board game called ‘’AI 2 Robot City’'. By using an APP to recognize the image of control cards, users control the car moving on the map and play the game.
Because AI technology is developing fast recently, Prof. Ting-Chia Hsu from NTNU integrates AI education and STEM project into a board game, which trains players’ logic of computational thinking through playing, developing to a game-based learning kit for primary and secondary school students called AI 2 Robot City.
A DIY robot car that can be controlled by an image recognition APP:
The team not only promotes it at the related educational exhibitions but also trains teachers to be able to teach with this product in the future. We also keep improving the performance and the stability of the robot car and control APP according to the feedbacks of teachers and students.
AI 2 Robot City board game is designed and developed by the team of Prof. Hsu. I was the member of the team when in the college as a research assistance. According to the teaching concept of the professor, my work was to design the robot car, the control APP, and the related teaching contents. Recently, this product is at the promotion stage and being produced by the cooperation company. I sometimes help to debug and improve the car and develop the new functions for APP.
